Ed Sheeran... something for everyone

Okay, so i've got my last GCSE exam this coming Friday so I figured I should find something to fill in all the spare time i'm going to have out of school. I picked up my brothers acousic guitar mainly because I have been inspired by an artist i've been following for the past 6 months.

If your outside of the UK you probably haven't heard of Ed Sheeran who has recently released his first single 'The A Team', if you are in the UK your probably sighing over the amount of play time this song is having over the radio (and i'm with you on that one).

Far away from his mainstream breakthroughs, there are plenty of songs that will suite plenty of music preferences. If your into grime and hip-hop check out a few songs off of his No.5 Callaboration Project ablum, particulary 'Little lady' and 'Goodbye to You'. More slow paced acoustic soul fans could find what theyre looking for on his 'Loose Change' album with songs like 'Little Bird'.

He is well known for his fast paced singing style and raw musical talent. I'll leave you with one of his more popular songs 'You need me' which he performed to SB.TV. I hope you give him some time for a listen as he definetly deserves the fame.

On a final note, have you got any tips to help me pick up guitar playing from your own experiences? :)

Until next time,

Ciaran

  2. Tips:
Don't tell anyone you personally know or if you decide the guitar isn't for you (or you failed) then they may try to make fun of you for failing. :P
Just give it time, I'm not saying you'll wait years, but patience is virtue.

    Good luck if you do.
